Today, the most popular data transfer protocols over the Internet are HTTP and FTP. The first protocol is familiar to almost every Internet lover, and the second is only familiar to those who are closely related to web construction and server file sharing. FTP is much more convenient to manage, since file transfer is several times faster and without possible losses.

Step 1
If we compare HTTP and FTP, then the first opponent (relatively speaking) transports the goods one box at a time, and the second opponent can allow transporting a large number of boxes, in some cases even without restriction. In this example, you can see that the choice of an advanced user of the system will fall on the FTP protocol.
Step 2
To set up a connection, you need to find out the login and password of the server to which the necessary files and folders will be copied. As an example, you can use absolutely any site, the hosting of which allows you to work with FTP. When registering an account on one of the many hosting services, you will receive connection information (login and password).
Step 3
After authenticating the user at the address given to you, you need to copy the materials to any folder on your site. You can use any internet browser to connect to the FTP server. If you have not worked with browsers yet and do not know for sure whether there is such a program on your computer, do the following: open the My Computer window (Start menu, My Computer icon) and enter g.cn in the address bar - if the page has loaded, therefore, a standard browser has been found.
Step 4
Copy the link you received in the email from your host and paste it into the address bar, then press the Enter key. You can transfer your files and folders to the loaded page. Open the "My Computer" window, find the files prepared for transfer, grab them with the left mouse button and drag them to the ftp connection window.
Step 5
After copying the materials to your site, you can go to the admin panel and check for uploaded files. The same action can be performed using special programs, for example, the file manager Total Commander.
Step 6
Open the program, press the key combination Ctrl + F. In the window that opens, click the "Add" button and copy the data received from your hoster into the fields. You can also copy only the link, as in the case with the browser, but after pressing Ctrl + F, click the "New URL" button.
