In order to properly create and configure a local network, several factors must be considered. Pay particular attention to configuring network adapters and firewall settings.

Step 1
First, create a local network. This can be done using a router. Alternatively, configure one of the computers as a server.
Step 2
Choose a relatively powerful computer that will "distribute" the Internet to the rest of the devices on the network. Install an additional network card into it. Update the drivers for it and connect this network adapter to the switch (network hub).
Step 3
Connect the Internet access cable to the second network card. Set up a connection to the provider's server and check its functionality. Disconnect this connection for now.
Step 4
Connect other computers, printers and laptops to the network hub. To do this, you need several network cables of the correct length.
Step 5
Open available network connections from the main computer. Select the TCP / IP internet protocol of the network card connected to the switch and open the properties of this menu. Set the permanent IP address for this network adapter to 174.174.174.1.
Step 6
Now go to your internet connection properties. Open the "Access" tab. Check the box next to the item "Allow other users of the local network to use this Internet connection". Select the network formed by the network hub.
Step 7
Open Windows Firewall settings. Disable system control over your local network. Now go to the settings of the remaining computers. The scheme of TCP / IP protocol parameters for them will be as follows:
IP address - 174.174.174. X
The main gateway is 174.174.174.1
The preferred and alternate DNS servers are 174.174.174.1.
The subnet mask should not be changed.
Step 8
Now connect to the internet on the first computer. Make sure that the rest of the PCs also have access to the World Wide Web.
