In most cases, data accidentally deleted from the hard drive can be recovered. To do this, you must follow a certain sequence of actions and use special programs.

Step 1
First of all, if you find that the necessary files are missing, exclude any writing to the disk from which you accidentally deleted information. This will increase the likelihood of recovery, since the files have not yet been physically deleted, but only their headers have been erased, so that new information can be written in their place. After that, download any utility for recovering deleted files. For home use, you can use a free program called Recuva, which can be downloaded from https://biblprog.org.ua/ru/Recuva/. Install it on your computer
Step 2
Begin the file recovery procedure. In the main window of the program, select the area to be analyzed (in our case, the hard disk or its separate folder) and click the "Scan" button. After the scanning procedure, the program will display a list of all files available for recovery, including information about the possible probability of recovering each specific file. In addition, the program determines the name of the file, its size, former location and the date of the last modification. Depending on the settings, the program is able to display deleted system and hidden files, as well as files with zero size. Find the files that require recovery, select them and click the "Recover" button.
Step 3
To recover data that was deleted a long time ago, or to recover information stored on a disk that was formatted, you will have to use paid data recovery software or contact companies that have special equipment for recovering deleted files.
