Automatic reboot is not a bad thing in itself. The system, which started working incorrectly, causes the PC to restart, after which it works normally. But if the PC suddenly starts constantly restarting after certain actions, you need to look at the error logs, and for this you will have to turn off the automatic restart.
Instructions
Step 1
Click on the "My Computer" icon located on the desktop or in the Explorer menu, right-click and select the "Properties" line from the menu that appears. A window will pop up in which you need to open the "System Properties" tab and find there a button labeled "Advanced". Through the item "Download and Restore" go to the parameters on which you need to work.
Step 2
The window with parameters will provide an opportunity to disable self-restart of the PC. To do this, you just need to uncheck the box next to the "Perform automatic restart" entry and click on OK. After restarting the computer, the changes will take effect, and in case of an OS error, a BSoD will be visible with a code that deciphers the cause of the failure.
Step 3
The second method of disabling self-rebooting is by adjusting the registry. Press Win + R or on the "Run" item in Start. Type regedit in the window that pops up. Now you need to go to SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Control / CrashControl located in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE branch. There you will find an AutoReboot file that needs to be set to zero. This will disable automatic reboot.
Step 4
There is a way to help write BSoD information without disabling restart. Using the regedit utility, go to the same SYSTEM / CurrentControlSet / Control / CrashControl of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE branch and change the CrashDumpEnabled value to 3. Now the PC will record mini-dumps that can be viewed after an emergency restart.
