In the event that the system unit of your computer begins to make a lot of noise, clean or adjust the fans that are installed in it. Most likely, they are the reason for the unpleasant noise from the unit.
Necessary
- - AMD OverDrive;
- - SpeedFan.
Instructions
Step 1
First try to reduce the fan speed without mechanical intervention. Download and install SpeedFan software. We recommend using the latest versions of the program, as this will increase the likelihood of it working with your computer. Run the installed program.
Step 2
Click the Readings tab and click the Configure button. Now go to the Options tab and select Russian from the Language menu. Click OK.
Step 3
Now open the "Indicators" tab and examine the contents of the menu that opens. Find the fan numbers at the bottom of the window and reduce their speed by pressing the Down arrow several times. Please note that slowing down the fan may overheat and damage the device to which it is attached. Make sure that after reducing the speed of the coolers, the temperatures of the video card, hard disk and central processor did not exceed the permissible values. Click the Minimize button. Don't close the program.
Step 4
In some cases, it is not possible to change the fan speed using the SpeedFan program. However, if your computer uses an AMD processor, download and install the ADM OverDrive program.
Step 5
Run this utility. Wait for the system health assessment to complete. Find the Fan Control menu located in the left column of the program and navigate to it.
Step 6
Several fans will be displayed in the window that opens. Decrease the rotation speed of the desired devices by moving the slider to the left. Click the Apply button.
Step 7
Now click the Preferences button. It is located in the upper right of the main program window. Select Settings. Check the box next to Apply my last settings. Click OK. Make sure the indicator next to the Preferences button is green. Close the program by clicking OK.
