The desire to increase the speed of your internet connection is as natural as the desire to increase the amount of money in your wallet. By a happy coincidence, the former may well be a consequence of the latter. Because the only way to increase the speed of the Internet by any noticeable amount of kilobits is to switch to a new tariff. All other tools, at best, will help you optimize your traffic and download speed. Which isn't too bad either.

Access to the Internet
Instructions
Step 1
Of course, the easiest way to speed up your browser is to turn off images, video display, and flash animations. It's easy to do in the settings. Pages will open almost instantly, and the amount of traffic consumed will be reduced significantly. This method works well for some very slow netbooks, but this option is hardly desirable for a home computer. Therefore, it is not worth dwelling on it in detail.
Step 2
The second way is to use various optimization utilities. Such as Ashampoo WinOptimiser, Auslogics BoostSpeed, DSL Speed or cFosSpeed. It is difficult to say what exactly these programs do, but after you select the type of connection and click "ok" your Internet should become "optimized". Whether you notice the difference or not is difficult to say. This largely depends on your system, and of observation. The main thing to understand is that if the bandwidth of the channel is one Mb / s, then you will not be able to achieve two.
Step 3
Various download managers, such as Download Master, seem to actually be able to slightly increase the download speed by splitting the file into pieces. However, I personally did not manage to notice a tangible difference, and the extra fifty kilobits can be attributed to simple speed jumps. However, managers have other useful functions as well. For example, the ability to continue downloading after the connection is broken. A very useful feature.
Step 4
Configure the port speed (COM or LPT). If configured correctly, it will give the most tangible increase in Internet speed. Follow this path: Start - Control Panel - Performance and Maintenance - System - Hardware - Device Manager - Ports. Expand the list and select the COM1 port. Click on it with the right mouse button, click properties and in the "Port parameters" tab select the maximum possible value.
Then check the bandwidth of the channel. From the Start menu, select Run and type gpedit.msc. Then do the following: Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Network / QoS Packet Manager / Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS). There should be a mark "not installed". If it is, then everything is in order.
