Unlike ancient times, surrounded by an atmosphere of uncertainty in time and position in space, today mankind has reliable information about these most important life categories. There are mobile and online mapping services, there is the possibility of free access to thousands of atlases and guidebooks. In such conditions, another task arises: "Where to copy the cards?"

Instructions
Step 1
If you are not going to regularly use cartography services, and you are faced with the immediate task of creating and saving a map of a place of interest, the easiest way is to use online cartography systems of popular search engines.
Step 2
Go to Yandex. Maps or Google. Maps (maps.yandex.ru and google.ru/maps, respectively). Enter the name of a street or famous landmark in the search box. Below the search bar, you can see your map, change its scale, make the necessary notes. Search results can be printed on the service.
Step 3
Create a map as an image. To do this, press the Prt Sc key ("Printscreen" is read), open any graphics editor (Paint, "Photoshop"). Create a new file and press Ctrl + V (or use the "Insert" menu option). You can crop, highlight or crop the results, depending on the editor you are using. Save the created map in jpeg format.
Step 4
Now you need to save the found map. The card can be copied to a flash drive, optical media or cloud service.
Step 5
If you want to copy the card to a flash drive, click on the shortcut of the file (which you have selected) Ctrl + C (or select "Copy" in the context menu). Open the removable disk under "My Computer", press Ctrl + V or "Paste". Similarly, you can save a copy of the map to CD / DVD.
Step 6
Free gigabytes of memory are provided by the cloud services Yandex. Disk, Google. Drive and Dropbox. In order to copy the map to the cloud, register on the website of one of the systems (at drive.yandex.ru, google.ru/drive or dropbox.com, respectively), install the proposed client. Now you can copy the saved map to the cloud service.
Step 7
If you are the owner of a tablet or mobile device, install yourself one of the stationary applications (working without using the Internet). The leader of the Russian market is the "DoubleGIS" program. It supports most Russian cities, each map has a detailed description of all roads and buildings. By the way, in homes you can easily find a detailed list of organizations.
Step 8
You can download the "DublGIS" application completely free of charge on the website 2gis.ru. Connect your device to your computer and run the installer. There are applications for most existing platforms and operating systems: Android, Windows Phone, iOS, BlackBerry, Symbian.
