The procedure for adding maps to the Counter Strike game server can be carried out by the user using the standard system tools and does not imply the involvement of additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
Select the required map of the Counter Strike game on the Internet and download its archive to your computer. Unpack the downloaded archive into any convenient directory. Please note that map extensions can be either *.bsp or *.nav.
Step 2
Expand your server root folder and navigate to / cstrike / maps. Transfer all unzipped files with.bsp and.nav extensions to the maps folder. Remember the name of the card to be installed. Usually it looks like: xxx_xxx_X.extension, where x is the letters of the Latin alphabet, and X is a number.
Step 3
Go to the / cstrike directory and find a file named maplist.txt. Call the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "All Programs" item. Expand the "Accessories" link and start the Notepad application. Open the found file maplist.txt in it and enter in a new line the name of the installed map without the extension, i.e. as xxx_xxx_X.
Step 4
In the same directory of the Counter Strike game server folders, find a file named mapcycle.txt. Using the above method, open the found file mapcycle.txt in Notepad and add a new line to the document with the name of the installed map without extension.
Step 5
The last necessary action is to go to the cstrikecfgmani_admin_plugin directory to display the required map in the Mani_Admin admin panel. Find a file named votemaplist.txt and open it in Notepad the same way. Repeat the operation of adding a line with the name of the installed map (without the extension) in the votemaplist.txt file and save the changes. Restart the server to apply these changes.
Step 6
In order to add the desired map to the maplist of the public server, you need to open the control panel and go to the "Settings" tab. Type the name of the selected card in the line “Install card” and confirm the execution of the selected action by pressing the “Install” button.
