If you've ever come across Photoshop (a program for editing pixel graphics), you've probably noticed how many plugins (filters) this editor uses. In fact, in order to understand them, it is enough to look at the examples of their scope of use.

Instructions

Step 1

All filters or plugins are located in the folder with the installed program. The list of filters can be viewed through a special section of the "Filters" menu. To do this, you need to start the program and go to the top menu "Filters". Take a look at the sections of this menu - the list is quite significant, but it can be significantly expanded by adding plugin files.

Step 2

To check the work of plugins, recently installed, as well as standard ones, you need to open any graphic file, for example, your photo. Then select a filter from the menu of the same name, before defining the type of operations that you want to do. For your photo, you can try sharpening. Select the "Sharpness" group and in the drop-down list click on any item.

Step 3

In the directory that opens, play with the settings, previewing the result on the small preview screen. To save the result of changing the texture of the picture, press the "OK" button, the window will automatically close and the result of your actions will be displayed on the photo.

Step 4

In the "Sharpness" block there are several varieties, the most used setting is Unsharp Mask, which allows you to quickly increase the clarity of the image. Try this effect and click OK. If you do not like the result and want to return everything as it was, press the key combination Ctrl + Z or click the top menu "Edit" and select "Step back".

Step 5

It is worth noting that it is possible to impose an infinite number of filters in a row on one photo, so try and do not be afraid to experiment. There are often several sliders in the filter settings, each of which is responsible for performing its own functions.

Step 6

To save photos, use the Ctrl + S keyboard shortcut. In the window that opens, enter the file name, select the type of object to be saved (it is recommended to use psd for further editing) and press the Save button or the Enter key.
