Step 1
To connect Samsung Galaxy to a computer in USB flash drive mode, you need to install a cable to connect the smartphone to the USB port of the computer. After that, connect the other end of the cable to the device and wait for the operation mode selection menu to appear on the device screen.
Step 2
In the menu that appears, click on the "Connect USB-storage" button. After selecting this option, a notification will appear on the computer screen about the start of the installation of the necessary drivers, at the end of which you will be prompted to take actions to view the contents of the connected drive. To view the folders on the device, select the "Open to view files" option. If your device also has a removable flash drive, it will also be opened on the computer screen in folder view mode.
Step 3
In addition to connecting in the removable disk mode, you can also use the Samsung Kies program, which comes in one set with the device on a special disc with the software. Place this disc in your computer and choose to install Samsung Kies. You can also download the installer for this application from the official Samsung website in the corresponding section.
Step 4
After installation, launch the program through the shortcut on the desktop and connect your smartphone using the USB cable that comes with the device. The phone will be determined by the program and you will be able to manage both its contents and the phone book.
Step 5
With Samsung Kies, you can also save the necessary phone data as a backup, which you may need in case of problems with the operation of the device.
