Step 1
Find out and, if necessary, write down the full name, model, or brand of your device.
Step 2
Find the website of the manufacturer of your device on the Internet. As a rule, all manufacturers on the official website provide full technical and informational support for their products.
Step 3
Use the search engine for the firmware you need. In order for the device to work correctly later, find the software specifically for your model and brand of the device.
Step 4
If you could not find a program for the firmware on the Internet, use the information recorded on the driver disk that came with the device upon purchase. Most manufacturers provide basic firmware along with drivers and informational materials upon purchase.
Step 5
Connect your device to your computer. Run the firmware update program. Follow all the steps that the updater asks you to do. Be sure to wait until it completes its work, incorrect completion may lead to the destruction of the device.
Step 6
After updating the firmware, make sure that the internal software module of the device is updated. You can find out the firmware version information by running the control program. As a rule, any device can be controlled using the program or via the web interface.
