Necessary

  • - a set of utilities;
  • - a flash card of the required size;
  • - disk image.

Instructions

Step 1

Use special programs to help create a CD-Rom on a removable USB drive. There are a lot of such programs on the Internet, choose among them any that will be more convenient for you, for example, Phison UP13 UP14 UP12 V1.96. This utility helps to create a partition on a removable disk with the specified parameters. If you have already performed a similar operation with this drive, reflash it. If this has not been done before, proceed to creating a section.

Step 2

Unzip the downloaded utility files to the Temp folder on your local drive. Open it and run the ParamEdt-F1-v1.0.20.2.exe file. A window with several tabs will open. Leave the parameters on the first of them unchanged and immediately proceed to editing the values of the second. Here you need to set any real values in the specified format for the VID and PID parameters, the fields opposite can be named at your discretion. Leave the Inquiry Revision unchanged, then check the Preformat checkbox.

Step 3

Navigate to the controller tab customization. Here you need to set the Previous parameter and check the Vision Last Version checkbox. Save the changes and then close the window. Run the utility F1_90_v196_00.exe. Select the PS2134_flash.ini file you previously created in it. After that, proceed to formatting your drive by connecting it to your computer and clicking Start.

Step 4

After the system displays a message about the end of the formatting process, reconnect your removable drive and wait for it to be detected in the system. If you did everything correctly, then the flash drive is identified as USB DISK 28X USB Device. Click the "Ok" button. Reconnect the drive and format it from the My Computer menu.

Step 5

Create an additional CD-Rom partition in your USB flash drive, then run the ParamEdt-F1-v1.0.20.2.exe utility. Go to the F1-1 tab and set the following values: for Vid - 0x0951, Pid - 0x1601, Auto-direct, Mode 21, Secure Volume Label - USB-DISK. Go to the settings of the F1-2 tab, in the dialog box select the CD image you want to burn.

Step 6

Go to the controller tab setup by setting the following values on it: Previous Vision, Last Versoin. Save the setting as a file named PS2134_flash_cd.ini using the Save as button, and then open it in the menu of the previously launched utility F1_90_v196_00.exe. Start the process of capturing the image. Wait for it to end (the window turns green).

Step 7

Connect the flash card to the computer and wait for it to be recognized in the system. Next, the operating system should display a message about the connection of two devices. Further, by choosing the option to boot from a USB flash drive, you can use it to install the operating system or for other purposes.
