Instructions

Step 1

In order to record the broadcast from the radio, it is best to use the audio player program with flexible settings for capturing the audio stream. There are many programs, both paid and free, but sometimes free solutions are in no way inferior to their paid counterparts. One of these programs is the AIMP player, and further work with this product will be considered.

Step 2

It is possible to record a radio broadcast using the player only if you have a radio stream file with the.pls extension. If you have difficulties choosing a source for such files, then, for example, you can look at the "radio akado" site. On it, as well as on many other sites similar to it, you will find many playlists of radio stations of various types.

Step 3

Download the.pls file to any directory convenient for you.

Step 4

Start AIMP. In the upper left corner, find the wrench-shaped icon and click on it. You will open the player settings menu. Go to Streaming Audio.

Step 5

Select a folder to save your radio music files.

Specify the most acceptable audio file format for you. The default format is “WAVE” - it has no compression and the sound quality is the same as in the original, but the saved files will be the largest in comparison with other options.

Step 6

Go to the menu item "Hot keys" and in the list on the right, find the line "Capture radio (on / off)". Assign convenient keys to enable radio recording. Click the "Apply" button, after which you can close the settings window.

Step 7

Place the.pls file in the AIMP playlist by dragging and dropping it.

Step 8

Click on the file playback button, after which the player will start playing the radio stream. When you want to start recording, just use the key combination indicated earlier for this. Press the same buttons again to stop playback.
