System tray is a place in the lower right corner of the monitor to the left of the clock, where icons of programs running and running in the background are located. If the performance of the computer is reduced, then the icons from the tray can be removed by closing the running programs.

Step 1
To remove an icon from the tray, you need to close the corresponding program that is running in the background. This is usually done in a very simple way. Move the mouse cursor over the icon that you want to remove and click on it with the right mouse button. In the context menu that opens, click the "Exit" or "Close the program" command. After a while (about a few seconds), the icon will disappear from the system tray.
Step 2
You can also remove the icon from the system tray without closing the program running in the background. To do this, right-click on the Windows Taskbar and select "Properties" in the context menu that opens. At the bottom of the Task Pane tab of the dialog box that opens, click the Customize button. The notification settings dialog box will open, in which you can choose how this or that notification will behave during various actions. Select the "Always hide" command from the drop-down list opposite the line with the notification if you want to remove this icon from the tray. The hidden icon can always be returned by clicking on the arrow that opens all hidden notifications.
Step 3
If the icon located in the system tray cannot be removed using the above methods, you can try to remove this program using the Windows Task Manager. You can start it with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Alt + Del. Go to the "Processes" tab and find out which process is responsible for the existence of the tray icon (processes and icons usually have the same or similar names). To remove this icon, select the line and click "End Process". If the icon continues to appear the next time you turn on your computer, uninstall the corresponding program from Startup.
