A disc image is a file that contains a complete copy of the contents and structure of the file system and data stored on a CD (CD or DVD). Disc images are often used to install games, as the image format is very convenient for distributing games over the network. Installing games from the image has its own characteristics.

Step 1
To install the game from a disk image, you need a special program called Daemon Tools. This program emulates a "virtual drive" in which the "virtual disk" is mounted. Daemon Tools can be downloaded from the link https://www.cwer.ru/sphinx?s=Daemon+Tools, as well as on the official website of the program: https://www.daemon-tools.cc/rus/home. The program has two versions: paid and free. There is no point in buying a paid version to install and run virtual disks, since the free version does a pretty good job with this task. Installation of the program takes a few minutes and does not require any special options
Step 2
After installation, the program begins to "live" in the system tray. Right-click on it and select the "Emulation" button in the menu that appears. In the drop-down menu from it, click on the line "All options are enabled." The program is ready to go. Now, if you enter the "My Computer" folder, then in addition to the physical drives installed in the system, you can see one or more virtual drives.
Step 3
Left-click on the icon on the item of the form "Drive 0: [X:] Empty". After that, an explorer window should appear, in which you need to find the previously downloaded disk image file with the game. These files can have a regular CD after autorun. Or the contents of the disk will be displayed as in the explorer window. To start the game, you just need to find a file named Setup. Further installation of the game will proceed as in the case of an ordinary disc.
