Computer games are sometimes extremely exciting. But sometimes it happens when the game disc is not yours, and you need to give it away. In this case, you can make a virtual copy of the disk, which will only be yours. Disk images are convenient when the original is not at hand, but you really need it. The most popular and convenient program for this is Alcohol 120%.
Necessary
- 1. A program for recording discs (in our case, Alcohol 120%)
- 2. A game disc from which you will create an image.
Instructions
Step 1
Launch the Alcohol 120% program and select the "Image Creation" item. After that, a corresponding window will appear, where you can select the drive with which you will create the image. This drive must contain a game disc.
Step 2
Sometimes licensed discs use anti-piracy protection (for example, StarForce). To create an image of such a disk at the bottom of the "Create Disk Wizard" window, select the mode according to the type of protection. If there is no protection, the user mode must be set in the "data type" field.
Step 3
In the "Reading Options" tab, select the desired name of the game image and the location where the program should save it after the end of recording.
Step 4
If there are scratches on the disk, in the same tab there should be a checkmark next to the "Quick skip read errors" parameter. The option is enabled by default.
Step 5
Check all the parameters described above. If everything is configured correctly, click "Start". In about 5-10 minutes, the game image will be ready.
