To transfer the program to a friend or install it on another computer, you must have a copy. The most convenient way is to write the installation file of the program to a flash card and install it from it.

Necessary

A personal computer or laptop with an installed operating system, a flash card, a free USB input on a PC, an installation file for a program for writing to a card

Instructions

Step 1

Turn on the computer, wait until the operating system is fully loaded. Find a free USB connector on the case and insert the USB flash drive into it. Please wait a few seconds. Autostart will start, which means that the flash card is accepted and the computer is ready to read and write information. Tip: if you are using a flash card obtained from a third party, press and hold the shift key one second before inserting. This will allow you to cancel autoplay. If the flash card is infected with a virus that is launched using the autorun.exe file, you will prevent the infection of your computer.

Step 2

Open the folder on your computer that contains the program that you want to transfer to the USB flash drive. Most often these are.exe,.msi,.zip,.rar,.iso (disk image) formats. Right click on the file, open properties. Find out the file size. Attention: do not confuse the installation file and the installed program. An already installed program cannot be copied to a USB flash drive, it will not start, since each program installed on a computer is recorded in the registry and is rigidly tied to a specific operating system.

Step 3

Go to "My Computer". Right click on the icon of your flash drive. Open its properties, compare the amount of free space on the flash drive and the file size: if the file is too large and its size is larger than the card can hold, try deleting unnecessary data from the card, otherwise the recording will fail. The computer will be able to write only part of the required file and will display a dialog box indicating that the volume is full. It will not be possible to read a partially recorded program in the future.

Step 4

If everything is in order and there is enough space, reopen the folder where the program's installation file is stored. Right click on it, copy it. Then open the USB stick, right-click on any empty space inside it and select "Paste." Do not remove the USB flash drive until copying is complete, otherwise the operation will not be performed. During the operation, do not remove the flash card, this will interrupt the writing process and make the file unreadable.

Step 5

Once copying is complete, move the cursor to the right corner of the taskbar, select "Safely Remove Hardware", then find your flash card in the list. The computer will stop transferring information to the flash drive, and it can be safely removed. Remove the flash card from the computer. You have written the program to a flash card. When connected to any other computer with a suitable OS, it can be read and installed.
