System Restore in Windows is used to roll back OC to an earlier state. There are times that after installing certain software, the system starts to malfunction. In such situations, recovery helps. But it also happens that this procedure does not correct the state of affairs. Moreover, new problems may arise. Then the restoration must be canceled.

Step 1
Click the Start button and select All Programs. Then go to "Accessories", where select "Utilities". In the list of utilities, click on "System Restore". If your account is password protected, then in some cases the system may require you to enter this password.
Step 2
In the window that appears, select "Cancel System Restore" and go ahead. Then click "Finish". The computer will restart. A bar will appear. When it reaches the end of the screen, the computer will restart and start normally. After turning it on, a window will appear on the desktop with a notification that System Restore has been canceled.
Step 3
If the cancellation of the system restore does not start in the usual way (it may be due to viruses), then use this method. First you need to boot your operating system in Safe Mode. To do this, after turning on the computer, before Windows appears, press the F8 key on the keyboard. Instead of turning on the computer normally, you launch the menu for choosing the boot options for the operating system. Also note that the F8 key will open this menu in most cases, but not all. If this key fails to open this menu, try other F keys.
Step 4
From the operating system boot options menu, select Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Then wait until the computer boots up and “Safe Mode” appears on the desktop. Next, go to "Standard Programs" and open a command prompt. Now at the command prompt, type% systemroot% / system32 / restore / rstrui.exe and press Enter. Further, the sequence of actions is the same as in the previous case. After canceling the restore, the computer will start normally.
