Sorting is used to sort data by some criterion - for example, in ascending order of numerical values, alphabetically, or by a combination of several parameters. This operation changes the original order of the elements in the array (rows in the table, shortcuts on the desktop, etc.). Sometimes it becomes necessary to return the original order of the elements after a sort operation has been applied to them. Listed below are several ways to reverse ordering for tables in Microsoft Office Excel.

Instructions
Step 1
If we are talking about canceling the sorting of data in tables created by Microsoft Excel, there are several ways to do this. The simplest of these is to use the undo operation. It is applicable if the sorting that you want to cancel was done during the current session of working with the document, that is, after loading a file or creating a new table. To use this function, just press the key combination ctrl + z. Each such pressing undoes one last action, so you need to repeat this procedure as many times as you have performed operations in the tables after the sort you want to undo.
Step 2
Click on the "Conditional Formatting" button in the "Styles" group of the "Home" tab to use another way to override the data sorting rules in the Ecxel table. In the drop-down list, select the "Manage Rules" item, which will open the "Conditional Formatting Rules Manager" window. The same window can be opened if you right-click any cell in the table, go to the Sort section in the context menu and select Custom Sorting. Select the lines in the list with a mouse click and press the "Delete rule" button until the list is cleared. Then click the "OK" button.
Step 3
Close the document (alt = "Image" + f4) containing the table without saving any changes made to it (including the sort you want to undo), and then open the original document with the unsorted table. This method is applicable, of course, only if the file with the original and unsorted data exists, and not just created by you.
