Often, users have problems connecting the player to a computer. As a rule, they consist in the fact that the system “does not see” the device, which makes it impossible to work with it.

If the “Unknown device is connected” pop-up window appears when the player is connected to your computer, most likely the problem is with the drivers. Insert the CD supplied with the player into the drive and wait for loading. Select the item responsible for installing the drivers. If the disk does not contain an autorun menu, open its contents using the operating system explorer and find the drivers folder, or with a similar name. Run the installation file. If for some reason the disc is missing, or it is not possible to install drivers using it, start an Internet browser and go to the manufacturer's official website. Find your player model in the directory, download and install drivers for it. In some cases, the connection may not be recognized by the system the first time. If this happens, try disconnecting the player and reconnecting it to your computer. It is advisable to connect the device in a disconnected state and only then press the power button on it. Another possible cause of malfunction may be the system drivers responsible for the operation of USB devices. Right-click on the "My Computer" icon and select "Manage". Open the "Device Manager" section, expand the "USB Controller" item and click on the "Update drivers" button. Also, the system may not detect the player if the file system markup is lost on it. In this case, you will need to format it. Since it is not displayed in My Computer, open Device Manager, find it there and format it. If you have problems with a new player recently purchased from a store, neither the above methods nor the instructions in the user manual bring results, there is a possibility that the device is defective. Take the receipt, warranty card, the player itself with the packaging from it and go to the place of purchase. If the fact of a malfunction is revealed, you are obliged to return the money or replace the device with a similar one.
