Step 1
Most often, the reason that the computer does not see the network cable is mechanical damage to the cable itself. First, try unplugging the cable from the port on the network device and plugging it back in. If the problem persists, disconnect again and inspect the connectors at the ends of the cable. There should be no cracks or damage. If damage is found, the connectors must be replaced with a special crimper. You can buy it at any electronics store. If it is difficult to do it yourself, contact the professionals.

If everything is in order with the connectors, carefully inspect the surface of the cable itself. Often, tears, pinches, and other damage appear on the braid, as a result of which the computer stops seeing the network cable. In this case, the cable must be replaced or "tied up" with electrical tape.

If the computer still does not see the network cable, inspect the port. The problem may be hiding in the network interface, router, hub, or the computer itself. Check contacts for integrity. They must not be bent or damaged. If the port is broken, you need to replace it, for this you need to contact the specialists.

After the damage has been repaired, turn on the network device and connect the work cable to it. The yellow and green indicator should light up. If there is no light, then the port is still not receiving a signal.

To do this, you need to press the key combination Win + R, in the "run" window that appears, you need to write devmgmt.msc and click OK. The device manager window should open, where you need to select "network cards", then find controllers - they can be of the form Realtek, Atheros, Intel, Nvidia, and then you need to click "delete". After rebooting, the computer will find and install the network card drivers by itself. If that doesn't work, the network card itself may be broken. Then you can try to put another ode in the PCI slot, if the installed board is integrated into the computer's motherboard.
