The computer game World of Tanks allows you to record battles taking place online, which you can then watch again. However, the resulting so-called replays are not video files, despite this common misconception. Therefore, they cannot be viewed in any third-party application, except for the client program of the game itself.

Instructions

Step 1

To get the replay itself, in the game settings, you must check the "Record battles for playback" checkbox. After these actions, at the end of each battle, the game will create a replay file.

Step 2

All relevant files are located in the replays folder, which is located in the main game folder. Typically, a replay is approximately 800 kilobytes in size.

Step 3

Select the replay you need in the above folder. Do not forget to close the game before doing this.

Step 4

Double-click on the selected file or, if you are trying to play the replay for the first time, right-click on it and select the "Open with …" item in the menu that appears.

Step 5

In the window that opens, click on the "Browse" button and specify the game file WorldOfTanks.exe as the executing program.

Step 6

After that, do not forget to check the box "Always use this program for this file type." This will allow you to play replays with a double click later.

Step 7

For convenient viewing of the replay, using the left mouse button, you can switch the camera view from free to real (view from the tanker's face). Using the up and down arrows, you can adjust the speed at which the replay is played.

Step 8

Using the left-right arrows, you can wind the replay in segments of 20 seconds. If you simultaneously hold down the Shift key, the battle is rewound in segments of 40 seconds. Space pauses. Watching replays helps you analyze your own mistakes or look at the game from the perspective of an experienced player.
