Step 1
In order to create a recovery console, you need to insert the disk from which your operating system was installed. After restarting the computer, the installation of the operating system will start. At this point, you need to create a Recovery Console.

When the download of test files appears, select "restore" by pressing the R button.

After that, the system will display the following message on your screen: “Enter the administrator password”. After entering the administrator password, if it was set initially, you will be taken to the Windows Recovery Console.

What is a "console"? This is the standard Windows command line that has access to enter specific commands. In order to find out the list of all commands, type in the console a special command-query Help.

In order to find out the details about any command, you need to type the HELP command and command_name in the console window. For example, HELP COPY.

In order to check the system for errors, you need to use the chkdsk / F / R command.

To exit the Windows Recovery Console, type the Exit command at a command prompt.

It is also possible to add the recovery console to startup. To do this, with Windows Xp installed and running, click the "Start" menu - select the "Run" command.

In the command line, enter the following expression: X: i386winnt32.exe / cmdcons.
