Step 1
Windows 7 offers a wide range of options for choosing and customizing the operating system interface. To change the standard theme, right-click on an empty space on the desktop. In the window that appears, you will see several sections with computer themes.

Aero - themes with very beautiful visuals, different styles and additional rendering components. Basic themes with high contrast have less beautiful interface and visuals compared to Aero. Another difference is that Aero themes use more hardware resources on the computer. To select a topic you like, click on it with the left mouse button.

Also on the right side of the window there is a line "Other topics on the Internet". By clicking on it, you will open a page with many different themes, screensavers and gadgets for your operating system. In addition, at the bottom of the window is a list of the four main theme components. Choosing, for example, in this list "Desktop background", you change only the background of the current theme. The rest will remain unchanged. This way you can create your own theme by selecting the main components one by one.

If your operating system is Windows XP, then it is better to download themes from the Internet for it. Style XP is a good option. Download it from the Internet and install it on your computer. Run the program. After launching, you will be taken to the main menu, where there will be a section "Themes". To change the current theme, just select another from the list of suggested themes. In this way, you change the theme completely.

Also, the program allows you to replace various components of themes separately. To do this, in the main menu, in the Style XP section, select the component you want to change. Then select another component you like. You can change icons, welcome screen, set window transparency, etc.
