Step 1
To update Windows 7 Ultimate, you can use both Windows Update and manual download of service packs. Windows Update is the most convenient way to install new packages, because after configuring it, all the required operations will be performed automatically.
Step 2
To enable automatic updates, you must use the appropriate system functions. To do this, go to the "Start" - "All Programs" - "Windows Update". You can also use the Control Panel by going to Start - Control Panel - System and Security - Windows Update.
Step 3
To enable the required parameters, use the "Parameter settings" link in the left part of the window that opens. In the drop-down list "Important updates" select "Install updates automatically". You can also check the box next to "Receive recommended updates in the same way" in the "Recommended updates" section. After making the settings, click OK. The system will automatically download all the required packages and install them.
Step 4
If you want to manually apply any updates for your system, go to the official Microsoft website in the Service Packs section. Use the on-screen prompts to select your operating system and the package you want. Select the installation language and click the "Continue" button and then "Download". Wait until the download of the required file is completed, and then launch it.
