Computer games today are trying to offer players maximum variability. First of all, this is achieved by fine-tuning the character: the gamer is free to choose not only the appearance or class, but often even the voice of his hero.

Instructions
Step 1
Select a voice at the very beginning of the game. This technique is especially relevant for role-playing games (in particular, Newerwinter Nights or Mass Effect). If there is no separate setting for the voice of the character, then experiment with gender and race: elves have high voices with perfect diction, while orcs, on the contrary, speak rude and indistinct. In addition, the voice can largely depend on the temperament of the character.
Step 2
In multiplayer, character customization almost always involves changing your voice. In shooters like Unreal Tournament, setting up a hero for multiplayer takes place in the menu "Multiplayer" -> "Character customization" - there you can change the model and the voice attached to it.
Step 3
Examine the game settings. In products where the player regularly communicates with a mentor (Dune) or a certain computer (Crysis, Serious Sam), the developers provide several options for dubbing your main interlocutor. In the settings, as a rule, three options are provided - male, female and "electronic" voices.
Step 4
Install a mod or crack. If the game does not provide for a change of voices, then there is a possibility that the fans of the game have corrected this problem: for example, by releasing an amateur addon that adds such an opportunity. In addition, do not forget about the installation of localizations and translations - in many cases they not only translate the text, but also change the voice acting to the domestic one (it is obvious that the voices will also change in this case).
Step 5
To change your own voice in audio chat, install the Clownfish program. It allows you to modify the sound that enters the microphone and add many effects there - in particular, make the timbre high or very low, and thus change it beyond recognition. After installing the program, a fish icon will appear in the right side of the "Start" panel: you should right-click on it and select Change Voice. After some simple experiments (you can check the result with Windows Sound Recorder) you will see how this or that mode changes the sound.
