The need to restore all pages opened in tabs may arise after an abnormal shutdown of Opera, for example, as a result of a sudden power outage of the computer or a malfunction of the browser itself. The way to restore the lost depends on the browser settings, as well as on what happened after this trouble.

Instructions

Step 1

At the next start after an incorrect shutdown, the browser will show a dialog box in which you will be offered a choice of four options for resuming work - check the box next to the "Continue from the point of disconnection" and click the "Start" button.

Step 2

If for some reason you did not succeed in using the option described in the previous step, and the browser is already running, try "manually" saving the information about the tabs opened in the previous session. It is stored in a temporary file called autosave.win.bak. To get to it, you will need a file manager - "Explorer". Start it by pressing the Win + E keyboard shortcut. Then open the Opera menu and in the "Help" section, select the "About" item. The browser will create a new page with information, which indicates the location of its working files.

Step 3

In the "Paths" section of the "About" page, find the "Saved session" line and copy the file address it contains. For example, it may look like this: D: UsersBananaAppDataRoamingOperaOperasessionsautopera.win.

Step 4

Switch to the "Explorer" window and click the address bar in a place free of the text to be able to edit its contents. Paste the copied address and remove the file name (autopera.win) from it, leaving only the path to the folder. Press Enter, and the file manager will display the objects in this folder.

Step 5

Delete the autosave.win file and remove the last four characters (.bak) from the autosave.win.bak name. Then close and reopen Opera. The probability that the tabs present in the previous browser session will be restored as a result of these manipulations is very high.

Step 6

The tabs may also be unavailable due to turning off the display of the panel on which they are located. This problem can be easily solved through the Opera menu. Since the button for calling this menu is not displayed in such a situation either, open it by pressing the Alt key. Then go to the "Toolbars" section and check the box next to the "Tab bar" item.
