A Windows XP computer, one or more user accounts that need to be removed, access to an administrator account on that computer
Instructions
Step 1
Turn on your computer and log in with an Administrator account. This step is necessary because only from the administrator account can you remove or add other accounts.
Step 2
Follow the path "Start - Control Panel - User Accounts". The User Account Control Utility will open. This utility provides complete account management: it allows you to create new ones, modify old ones, those that are already registered on the computer, as well as select the method of logging into the operating system.
Step 3
Highlight the account to be deleted. This will open the menu for that account. Find the item "Delete account" to the left of the icon (it will be the most recent). In the next window, the system will offer you to delete or leave the data of this user. You can either delete them or leave them. You can also cancel the operation. After you choose to delete or leave user data, the system will ask you to confirm the deletion of the account. Click on the "Delete Account" button. Ready! The account was successfully deleted.
Step 4
Restart your computer to check the result. If unsuccessful, run the algorithm again.
