Step 1
For the Windows XP operating system, as well as for other Windows systems, the screen saver can be removed through the screen properties. To do this, click the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel". In the window that opens, double-click on the "Display" icon. You will see the "Properties: Screen" applet. Also, this applet can be called by selecting the "Properties" item of the desktop context menu.

Go to the "Screensaver" tab by clicking on it with the left mouse button or using the Tab key. Here you can change, customize, and disable the display of the screen saver. Click on the small triangle image to view the dropdown menu items. Select "No" and click "OK" or press Enter.

For Windows Vista and Windows Seven, the names of some items will sound differently. Right-click on an empty space on the desktop and select "Personalize".

Also, this applet can be launched in another way. Click the Start menu and select Control Panel. In the window that opens, go to the search bar, enter the word "Screensaver" and click on the menu item "Enable or disable the screen saver".

In the open window, go to the "Screensaver" tab, select the "No" line from the "Screensaver" drop-down list and press the "OK" button or press Enter.

If for some reason changing the screen saver is prohibited by the network administrator, it is recommended to use a special registry file. You need to create a new text document in any text editor and add the following lines to it:

Save the file as screen.reg and run it. Accept the changes and return to the Display Properties applet again.
