"Bookmarks", "Favorites" - Internet pages, links to which the user has saved in the browser in order to provide quick access to them at any time, are called differently. The menus for working with such bookmarks are similar in all browsers, and bookmarked sites can be moved from one browser to another.
Instructions
Step 1
Each browser provides the option to export and import web pages saved by the user. It is needed not only for transferring bookmarks from one browser to another, but also for backing up site addresses in case of unforeseen situations.
Step 2
To transfer bookmarks from Mozilla Firefox to Internet Explorer, there are several steps you need to take. Connect to the Internet and launch Mozilla Firefox in the usual way. In a browser window, select Show All Bookmarks from the Bookmarks menu, or press Ctrl, Sift, and B on your keyboard.
Step 3
A new "Library" window will open. Select Import and Backup from the top menu bar of this window and select Export Bookmarks to HTML File. In the new window "Export bookmarks file" specify the directory to save the file and click on the "Save" button. Close the Library window.
Step 4
Launch Internet Explorer and right-click on the menu bar. In the context menu, place a marker opposite the "Favorites bar" item. After the panel is added, select the star icon on it. Click on the "Add to Favorites" button and select "Import and Export" from the drop-down menu. A new window will open.
Step 5
Check the "Import from file" item in it and click on the "Next" button. At the next level, indicate that you need to import "Favorites" and click on the "Next" button again. Specify the path to the HTML bookmarks file that you previously exported from Mozilla Firefox using the Browse button.
Step 6
Confirm your actions by clicking on the "Import" button and wait for the operation to complete. After that click on the "Finish" button. All bookmarks from Mozilla Firefox will be transferred to the Internet Explorer browser. Bookmarks are exported to other browsers as described above.
