Instructions

Step 1

Open both programs at the same time. For the time being, minimize the Mozilla Firefox browser window, leaving the Opera browser.

Step 2

In the upper left corner, click Menu, then select Bookmarks and Manage Bookmarks. In the right part of the window that opens, there are bookmarks. Each of them can be selected separately with the mouse.

Step 3

If you want to export all the bookmarks you have from the Opera browser to Mozilla Firefox, press the keyboard combination CTRL + A - this will select all the bookmarks.

Step 4

If you need to copy any individual bookmarks, do so by holding down the CTRL key and highlighting with the mouse the addresses that you plan to transfer.

Step 5

After you select the bookmarks, click on the "File" menu in the top line of the window, and in the list of options that opens, select: "Save selected as HTML".

Step 6

In the window that opens, you must give a name to the document and then click the "Save" button. Write the file names in Latin letters: this will allow you to avoid confusion in the future. You can call it, for example: bookmarks.htm.

Step 7

Launch Mozilla Firefox browser, open the main menu "Bookmarks", then select "Manage Bookmarks".

Step 8

In the window that opens, find the "Import and Edit" menu item at the top of it, select the "Import from HTML" option.

Step 9

Then, in the next window that opens, if you transfer all the bookmarks, select the option: "Import from Opera" and click the "Next" button. If you need to copy your favorite bookmarks, select the item: "From HTML file" and the same - the "Next" button.

Step 10

In the explorer window that opens, find the previously saved file - bookmarks.htm, if you gave it such a name. Click the "Open" button and the bookmarks will be copied from Opera to Mozilla Firefox successfully.

Step 11

To check the success of the operation, click on the "Bookmarks" item in Mozilla Firefox.
