PlayStation Portable is a popular game console from Sony. PSP games are released on specially crafted UMD optical discs. This format is not supported by personal computers, however, there are ways to work around this limitation.
Necessary
- - computer;
- - emulator program;
- - PSP game.
Instructions
Step 1
To run games on the PlayStation Portable platform, you need an emulator program that will create a virtual device that simulates the platform. A large number of emulators have been developed (for example, Potemkin, PSP Custom Firmware or DaedalusX64), each of them is suitable for a limited number of games, a list of which is usually laid out on the emulator page. Choose a utility directly for your game or choose the most widespread at the moment - the Jpcsp emulator program.
Step 2
To run the program, the Java platform must be installed on your computer. If the platform is not installed, download it from the official site and install it. Open the downloaded archive and run the jdk.exe file. After that, right-click on the Jpcsp.exe program, in the pop-up context menu, point to the "Open with …" item and select Java (TM) Platform SE binary. The program will start.
Step 3
Next, you need the game you want to run. Download the game image from the Internet, there are many resources on the Internet that provide PSP games for free. Usually games are in rar and zip archives. Unzip the game to any convenient location.
Step 4
In the main menu of the Jpcsp program, click on the "Open file" button. In the dialog box that opens, specify the path to the unzipped game image and click on the "Select" button. The program will process the file and you can start playing.
