CorelDRAW is a powerful vector graphics editor that powers the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite. It has been developed and marketed by Corel from the Canadian capital since the nineties of the last century. Over these twenty years, the application interface has been perfected to the smallest detail and problems with such simple operations as saving a file do not arise.
Instructions
Step 1
After completing work on the image, open the "File" section in the Corel Draw menu and select the "Save" item - this command opens the standard save dialog. In addition to the menu item, you can use the floppy disk icon on the toolbar in the program window or the Ctrl + S keyboard shortcut. This command should be used when saving a document for the first time or to overwrite an existing file.
Step 2
If you need to save the current file, while leaving the previous version of the document on disk, use the "Save As" command - it is located in the same section of the menu. This command corresponds to the key combination Ctrl + Shift + S.
Step 3
In the dialog opened by the save commands, select the format of the document to be written to disk. A drop-down list with available options is placed in the "File type" field. Choose your own Corel Draw CDR format if you intend to edit the document in this graphics editor in the future. You can also save in formats of other graphics programs - for example, AI for Adobe Illustrator, DES for Corel Designer, etc.
Step 4
In the "File name" field, type the name of the document to be saved, and using the directory tree in the drop-down list in the address line of the save dialog, select the folder where you want to place this file.
Step 5
In the same window, you can set additional saving parameters - compatibility with earlier versions of this editor, saving the current color profile and used fonts in the same file. If you want to more thoroughly configure the parameters of the saved document, click the "Advanced" button - it opens a separate "Options" window.
Step 6
When everything is ready to write the file, click on the "Save" button and the operation will be performed in accordance with the specified parameters.
