Step 1
Download and install a web page editor on your computer. You can also use a standard text editing program, but it is much easier to work with HTML code in dedicated editors. If you cannot navigate in their choice, give preference to ordinary Russian-language programs with an intuitive interface and a minimum set of functions. Download the software from the official website of its developer and install it on your computer following the instructions in the menu items. Run it and select from the menu to create a file with the extension.css, name it style.
Step 2
Open the editing of the file you recently created with the extension.css and write the following code in it, which is necessary to perform operations for editing and customizing the drop-down list of the menu. You can use special templates for this, which are available for download on the Internet, or write the code yourself. If you are using a template, make detailed settings for your drop-down menu regarding the background color, font color, adjust the menu width, height, text alignment, and so on. Enter the code to apply the dropdown menu settings you specified.
Step 3
Create an unordered list of dropdown menu items for the web page you are editing. To do this, also use ready-made or written code. This will be the base of your dropdown menu.

If you do not want to use HTML code to create a drop-down menu of a web page, download a Java script and paste it in the editor. For this, use ready-made templates with previews that are posted on the Internet. Choose the template that best suits your page style, and then check it for malicious code.
