Mounting a virtual hard disk is an activation of a disk that becomes the local hard disk of the host computer. To create a virtual disk, you need to create a folder first. This folder will be the root of your virtual partition. Let this folder be located at the following address C: / work / folder.

Go to the properties of the folder and select the "Access" tab in order to open general access to it. In the "Security" tab, assign all the rights for your account, namely, put the value FullTrust. Also add an ASPNET user with edit rights.

The task is completed, you can access the connected virtual disk C: /. It should be noted that if your computer is offline, then you will need to add a virtual network adapter.

If you need to virtually connect a drive disk, then there are currently a large number of specialized software for this. Such a need very often arises when you have a disk image and you need to get information from it, for example, you downloaded the game in one file with the.iso,.nrg extension.
