Dr. Watson is installed on a computer primarily for debugging system errors. Due to the fact that it has a high priority, it can be difficult to disable it completely.

Instructions
Step 1
Disable the Dr. Watson debugger by editing the registry. To do this, run the “Regedit” command by entering it into the “Run” utility in the “Start” menu. In Windows Vista or Windows Seven, just type it into the search bar and press Enter. You should have a large window of the operating system registry editor, divided into two parts. On the left side, a tree of directories will be displayed, in which you will need to go to the configuration directory of the program, the parameters of which you want to correct, and on the right side, the text is edited, which will be further converted into a configuration file.
Step 2
Open the HKEY LOCAL MACHINE directory, then go to the SOFTWARE section, which is responsible for global software settings. Next, open the section Microsoft, Windows NT, Current Version, AeDebug. Select the last record with the cursor and go to editing it in the right part of the open window. Find the line that says “Auto”. Erase the registered value and write in “0”. Close the operating system registry editor and restart your computer.
Step 3
In cases where you are unable to edit the Registry Editor to close Dr. Watson, boot your computer in Safe Mode. When the black splash screen appears, press the F8 key or any other key that is provided by your motherboard model to select boot options.
Step 4
Go to safe mode and start the registry editor as described above. When working with the registry of the operating system, try not to make mistakes, as everything can end with a reinstallation of Windows. Just in case, back up your system files to a removable drive if you frequently access it.
