Asus has always been one of the leaders in the production of components for personal computers. But sometimes the stability of the motherboards of this manufacturer is in question - it is rather difficult to get into the BIOS SETUP menu.
Instructions
Step 1
You can enter the BIOS menu using hot keys or keyboard shortcuts. The hotkey depends on the type of device you are using, typically Delete, F2, and Escape. There are cases when these combinations do not work or work, but the menu is not fully loaded. In this case, it is necessary to diagnose the problem that has arisen.
Step 2
First of all, you need to check your keyboard and mouse for compliance with the standards. Some motherboard models do not handle USB keyboards properly. What could be causing this? The problem lies in the devices that are connected to the board. An example would be using a usb3 interface and a connected card reader.
Step 3
The conflict is quite simple to resolve: connect a keyboard with a ps / 2 interface or disable the card reader built into the system unit. There is no other way out, it remains to sacrifice one thing.
Step 4
In some cases, the monitor may be the culprit. For example, when buying a computer, your system unit was checked and was in good working order, but at home the same actions cannot be performed. If you discard the keyboard version, you should take a closer look at the monitor configuration.
Step 5
Most likely, during the initial check of the computer, the original screen resolution was recorded in the system BIOS, but on the "home" monitor, which does not have the "Auto Adjust" function, it was already different. Thus, the solution to this problem lies on the surface: connect a monitor and reduce the screen resolution.
Step 6
It often happens that the only solution is to update the BIOS firmware. This operation is not laborious, but requires care. Be extremely careful when choosing this option. Remember to make a backup before flashing.
