MS Word is a popular program that helps to solve complex problems with text layout. But, unfortunately, the performance of not all functions is as clear as users would like. For example, to rotate a table in the "Word", you need to do a number of not quite obvious steps.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to a text document by opening it in the "Word" and select the table you need while holding the left mouse button. Then copy it to the clipboard. This can be done in two ways: right-click on the selected area and select "Copy", or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + C.
Step 2
Open MS Excel, which always comes with Microsoft Office. Insert an upside-down table into your document. To do this, right-click on one of the cells and select the "Paste Special" option. A window with settings will open on the screen. Find the item "Transport" and check it. Click "Next".
Step 3
If the program shows an error, it means that you have copied the table from the "Word" incorrectly - try to do it again. Otherwise, the program will automatically move information from rows to columns, and the inverted table will appear in the Excel document. Copy this table to the clipboard (Ctrl + C) and go to the document opened in Word. Paste the object into the desired area using the context menu and "Paste", or the combination of Ctrl + V.
Step 4
If you need to rotate the table 90 degrees, then you should change the landscape orientation of the sheet on which it is located. First, select the text and table that you want to move and go to the "Page Layout" tab. Click on the arrow next to the "Page Setup" label. In the settings window that opens, in the "General" tab, select the landscape orientation. In the line "Apply" put "To the selected text". Click "Ok".
Step 5
To format information in an inverted table, you need to reverse the direction of the text. To do this, in the "Word" click on the table that you are going to edit, go to the "Layout" section and select the desired value in the "Text direction" item.
