From now on, your familiar computer interface will shine with new, most amazing and brightest colors, and working on it will turn into an interesting and entertaining occupation! Just master the knowledge of how to put icons on files and folders. Give them a wide variety of shapes - a flower, a star, a gold cup or a magnifying glass.

Instructions
Step 1
Right-click on a file or folder shortcut. Next, open the "Properties" section. Click on the "Shortcut" (or "Settings") tab in the bottom field "Folder Icons". There you can replace any old icon with a new one, except for the thumbnail display mode.
Step 2
Click Change Icon. You will see a directory of service images - icons, files in the "ico" format. They have a very different shape - a planet, a disk, a printer, an asterisk, an arrow, a tree, a question mark, and others. Select the shortcut you like and click the "Change shortcut" button.
Step 3
In order to place a picture reminding of its contents to the selected folder, use the thumbnail mode. In the Settings folder, instead of the bottom Folder Icons box, select the top Folder Pictures. Then click on the "Select Pattern" button.
Step 4
You can also change the icons for the main files located on the computer desktop, such as "My Documents", "My Computer", "Network Neighborhood", "Trash". To do this, right-click on an empty area of the desktop. Next, open "Properties", "Desktop", "Desktop Settings" and change the old shortcut to the new one.
