The problem with overheating of a home PC is solved by a number of additional coolers. They usually cling to connectors on the motherboard, specially designated as FAN. But it may happen that a fan is needed, but there is no longer a free slot for it. It will be cheaper not to look for a new motherboard with a large number of sockets for fans, but to come up with a different way to power the turntable.

Step 1
The cooler can be powered from a molex connector, which is designed to connect hard drives, a power supply without additional devices. First, cut off the plastic connector of the molecule and fan, leaving the bare wires. Molecule wires have a colored sheath, which serves as a marking. The black wires are the "ground", which allows electrons to drain from the side of the device, the yellow provides 12 volts, and the red provides 5 volts. The fan wires are also color coded - black (ground) and red (power).
Step 2
Look at the fan markings. Some models require 12 volts to function, while some require 5 volts. Hook the 12-pin turntable with the red wire to the yellow molex, and the black wire to the ground. The rest of the ends of the wires just need to be insulated. The 5-volt fan is connected in the same way, but the red wire from the molecule should be connected to the "power" wire.
Step 3
A more exotic method is to power the 5 volt fan from USB. To do this, you also need to free the "power" and "ground" wires of the turntable from the connector. Find a USB cable with a connector and strip its wires. To connect the fan, you will need black and red wires, which are attached to the corresponding ends of the turntable. Cover unused wiring with electrical tape. The turntable will now be powered via the USB jack when plugged in.
Step 4
A way for those who do not like fiddling with electrical tape and wire cutters is an adapter. Today, in PC stores, you can find a special molex multi-fan fan connector that attaches to the four-wire end of the PC plug.
