Instructions
Step 1
Use the Program Compatibility Wizard to check. To open the "Wizard", you need to go through a few steps. Open the start menu. Select the "Control Panel" tab. In the window that opens, left-click on the "Programs" option. A window with new tabs will open in front of you. Go to the Programs and Features tab and select the Use legacy software with this version of Windows task. The Program Compatibility Wizard is launched. Now follow the prompts of the system, carefully reading each one. In the first window after reading, click "Next".
Step 2
A new window will open in front of you, in which you need to check the box against the action that you will perform. For example, “Select a program from the list from the list” and click “Next” (you press this button all the time as the system asks for it). The wizard will download all programs installed on your computer. Select the program you want to check for compatibility from the list.
Step 3
When a specific program has been selected, select the operating system from the recommended list (it will open as soon as you click the "Next" button in the previous step). Then select the display options for the program you are testing and run the Program Compatibility Wizard.
Step 4
The test results will be displayed in a new dialog box with tips on how to proceed if the program and the computer have incompatible configurations. In general, we can say that the operating system will allow you to test almost every program for compatibility, so don't worry when you want to install new software. It is also worth noting that developers often specify parameters for programs that will be required for the correct operation of the computer and this program.
