You have probably found yourself more than once in a situation where, having found a good subject for shooting, you were dissatisfied with the background of this subject. Adobe Photoshop lets you fix this annoying error effortlessly.
Instructions
Step 1
Open your image. Duplicate the layer using keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl + J). Always try to work on a duplicate layer so as not to spoil the original photo.
Step 2
You need to select and remove the white background. One of the fastest ways to cut along a path is to select everything that you don't need and delete. For this selection, select the Magic Wand Tool.
Set the tolerance to 5 and left-click on the background.
Step 3
As a result, you get such an image. The selection did not capture the shadow area, but this is fixable. Remove the selected background with the Delete key.
Step 4
The background is removed. Turn off the visibility of the main layer. Deselect the selection with the keyboard shortcut Cntr + D
Step 5
Call the Eraser on the toolbar, set the opacity to 100% and the pressure to 50%. Enlarge the image by moving the slider in the navigator window to the right, and carefully erase everything unnecessary with the eraser. The diameter of the eraser can be adjusted on the keyboard with square brackets (in the Russian layout, the letters X and b). The object is now fully selected.
Step 6
From the File menu, choose Open and locate the picture you want to place your image in the background. It will open in a separate tab.
Step 7
Use the Move Tool (arrow) to drag the cup onto the background. Increase or decrease the size as needed by calling Transform (Cntr + T). The Shift key allows you to maintain the correct proportions of the picture when resizing.
Step 8
Select the Flatten Image option from the menu and flatten the background and cup layers into one. Save the image (Shft + Cntr + S). Evaluate the result. The whole work took no more than 7 minutes.
