Instructions

Step 1

Use 192.168.1.1 to log into the web interface of the modem and type admin for User and Password. Go to the Advanced tab in the main window that opens and click the Lan Clients button in the left pane. Type 192.168.1.2 in the IP Address line and enter any name in the Host Name line. Use the Add command and confirm the selected action by clicking the Apply button.

Step 2

Select the Virtual Server tab in the upper service panel and specify your connection to the VU in the list of the Connection line. After that, select the added IP address in the drop-down directory of the Lan IP line and apply the checkbox to the User line of the Category section. This will open the Rule Management dialog box, in which you need to type any name in the Rule Name line and select TCP from the Protocol field list. Enter the value of the forwarded port in all four remaining lines and save the changes by clicking the Apply button.

Step 3

Click the Add button again and repeat all the steps just listed, changing the TCP option in the Protocol line to UDP and adding 1 to the port number. Go back to the Virtual Server tab, reapply the checkbox in the User line and select the created rule in the list in the Category section. Use the Add command and wait for the same rule to display in the Applied Rules section. Confirm saving of the changes made by clicking the Apply button.

Step 4

Go to the Tools tab of the upper service panel and select the System item on the left side of the window. Click the Save and Reboot button. Open your DC ++ client and go to the Settings menu. Expand the Connection Settings link in the left pane of the application window and enter the external IP address to be used in the Network Interface for all connections and External / Wan IP lines. Apply the changes you made by clicking OK.
