The Android tablet is frozen due to a software glitch. Freezes can occur depending on the intensity of use of the device and the total period of its operation. There are several methods that can be used to correct performance problems.
Getting rid of freezing
If the tablet does not respond to any touch from the user, you can use the urgent reset key combination. Typically, most Android tablets can be rebooted by pressing the power button and the volume up key at the same time. Hold down the combination of buttons and hold for about 2 seconds. Once the reboot starts, you can let them go.
If the key combination does not work, you can use the Reset button, which is available on some tablet models. If you cannot find either a key combination for a quick reboot of the device, or the Reset button, use the instructions for the device.
When freezing, you can also remove and reinsert the battery if it is removable.
Prevent freezing
If your tablet freezes while working with a specific program, try uninstalling and reinstalling it. To uninstall an application, use the "My Applications" menu in the Play Market section. In the proposed list, find the name of the unnecessary program, and then click "Remove" to uninstall. Go back to the application page and after the uninstallation is complete, reinstall it. If the device hangs again when working with this program, you should find an alternative application that has similar functionality and remove the problematic program.
To avoid freezes, do not install programs from unknown manufacturers and protect the device from water and sudden shocks.
Frequent random freezes of the tablet can occur due to malfunctions in the Android system itself. If you want to try to get rid of freezes, try reflashing your device or updating the firmware through the "Settings" - "About the tablet" - "Software update" menu. To avoid reoccurring the problem, you can reset the device to factory settings. The operation will clean the device from possible malicious applications and return the system to its original state.
Frequent tablet freezes can cause problems with the device's hardware itself. If none of the above methods helped to cope with the freezes, contact the service center for troubleshooting. Freezes can begin as a result of repeated drops of the tablet to the floor, and due to its long-term operation or the occurrence of a breakdown in the hardware due to insufficient quality equipment or poor working conditions.
