The popular PC game WarCraft 3 has acquired a new additional version of Frozen Throne. This option is even more attractive and colorful, it contains new characters, weapons of battle, tools that allow you to reveal a more impressive picture of battles. The action takes place not only on land, but also within the sea. The creators of this entertaining saga described the installation process very fully, but completely missed the question - how to correctly patch the WarCraft game.
Instructions
Step 1
Install the WarCraft III: Frozen Throne version itself. You need to install it from a licensed disc, it is such an installation that will allow you to play on official servers. You need to install the patch already on the previously installed WarCraft Frozen Throne.
Step 2
Run the wvs.exe file. Specify the folder where WarCraft is installed (the Russian or English version does not matter, but it is desirable that the version be at least 1.20). Click the fourth button on the left, at the bottom in the Warcraft location field, write the path to the game. In the versions menu (first button on the left), double-select the version you want to get. Close the switch and play in garena. To install garena: - run the file GarenaRU_setup.exe;
- Install the program;
- go to this directory and run the Garena.exe file;
- write down your username and password, if you don't have an account - go through the registration;
- after the garena itself opens, on the left open the list of games from which you need WarCraft 3;
- you have opened a list of rooms;
- go to any room, then a chat and a large "Start" button will appear, and a "Configure" button above it;
- click "Configure" and select the war3.exe file (to start the game). If you just go into the game with the garena running, then nothing will work.
- as soon as WarCraft is activated, press the "Local network" button, notice the hosts (people who created the game), go to them and play.
Step 3
During the installation process, you may encounter an error related to the absence of the InstallPath registry key. This error is not difficult to eliminate. There is a registry key that needs to be run. After that, activate the command line - regedit. Follow the path HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareBlizzard EntertainmentWarcraft III. In the InstallPath key, write the path to the folder with the WarCraft Frozen Throne installed. After this manipulation, problems with patches should not arise.
