Rebooting the operating system of a computer (or laptop) is sometimes needed to cancel unnecessary executable processes (for example, viruses), update some system data (for example, after installing or removing any software), etc. On almost all computers and laptops, system reboots are performed in the same way.

Step 1
To get started, open the Taskbar, and on its left side, click the "Start" button.
Step 2
In the lower right part of the menu that appears, click the "Shutdown" button once with the left mouse button. After that, a window with a choice of further action will open. You will be presented with three options: Standby, Shutdown, and Restart.
Step 3
In this window, click the "Restart" button once with the left mouse button. After that, the computer (or laptop) will start the system reboot process.
