The decline in prices for laptops and the emergence of powerful portable computers on the electronic market have allowed many to abandon the use of bulky and noisy system units. But if there was always a Reset button on the system unit, with which it was possible to restart the computer, then on a laptop the restart is performed differently.

Step 1
Just in case, let us recall the traditional method of rebooting any computer (both stationary and laptop) running on the Windows operating system. Click the "Start" - "Shutdown" button, and then select the "Restart" command. By making three clicks, you will properly shut down the system and follow the reboot procedure.
Step 2
There are times when software crashes or system errors cause the computer to freeze. But the laptop does not have a Reset button, but you can reboot it as follows: press and hold the laptop power button for a few seconds. In most cases, this will shut down the laptop. Then you can turn it on again.
Step 3
If the power button doesn't respond when pressed, you can try another method. If you remove the battery in the laptop, it will automatically shut down. By inserting the battery back, you can turn on the laptop. Just remember to disconnect the power cord from the laptop before removing the battery.
