Almost every computer user is faced with a situation where important files have been lost. To solve this problem, there are programs for recovering deleted files.
Instructions
Step 1
If the missing files have not been removed from the Recycle Bin, do the following to restore them. Click on the recycle bin shortcut on the desktop, find the files that you want to restore, select them and click the "Restore objects" button on the window panel.
Step 2
Restoring files that have been deleted from the Recycle Bin is done in a different way. This will require one of the specialized programs. Examples of such applications are EasyRecovery, GetDataBack, Recuva, etc. The application must be installed on a disk or partition that is different from the one from which the information disappeared.
Step 3
Start the selected program. A pre-scan will be performed automatically, displaying all available partitions and devices. If the required section is not displayed, try scanning again, or try another program. Also check if the device from which you want to recover is connected securely enough.
Step 4
Select the required partition to recover information. Configure the scan parameters, for example, the scan area (if you know where the information you want is located), the type of the device's file system, the algorithm for searching for deleted data. Depending on which application was selected for work, the list of settings may contain other items.
Step 5
Start the scanning process. The process takes different time depending on the size of the scanned section. Upon completion, the program will present a virtual directory tree in which the files found in the process will be located.
Step 6
Find the ones that you want to recover. Using the previewer provided in some programs, determine the degree of accuracy.
Step 7
Next, select the required files and click the corresponding button to start recovery. Specify a location to save. It must be located on a different partition from which the files are saved. Wait for the process to finish.
