Method number 1: use the download control function, which is available in all modern browsers, be it Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer or the Google Chrome family.
To use it, find the Downloads section in the Tools tab. In the list of downloaded and downloaded files, find the one that you need and click on the "Continue download" button.

Method number 2: use special programs for recovery. If you download files from an external network a lot and often, it may be worth installing download managers such as DownloadMaster, ReGetDeluxe, FlashGet, etc. All of them are simple, intuitive and reliable enough. Such programs have some advantage over the managers built into browsers, since they use several threads at once. Simply put, downloads are faster.
The download starts either automatically or is added manually using the "add download" button (interface details may vary depending on the program). To do this, copy the link to download the file. All that remains to be done is to click the "Start Download" button. As a rule, you can pause it with the same button.

Torrent clients such as BitTorrent work in a similar way (by the way, they can also be used to download files, like a regular download manager). In the case of downloading a file from a torrent tracker, the download occurs in much the same way, except that the download the file comes not from one hosting, but from several distributors (seeds).
