The standard icons of programs, folders and files often do not look at the selected desktop background or with a given style of displaying the contents of folders. In this case, you can simply replace them with your favorite system ones or your own.
Instructions
Step 1
First, you need to right-click once on the icon of the program, file or folder whose icon you want to replace.
Step 2
In the list of actions that appears, select the "Properties" line.
Step 3
The Properties window will open. In it you need to select the "Settings" tab.
Step 4
This tab displays the settings for the view of files and folders. At the bottom of the window is the Change Icon button. It is necessary to click on it once with the left mouse button.
The window for selecting icons for file shortcuts is invoked by the following sequence of actions:
- Open the "Properties" window.
- In it, open the "Shortcut" tab.
- At the bottom of the tab there is a button "Change icon …".
Step 5
The icon selection window will appear. You just need to choose one of the standard icons. If the icon is your own, then you just need to select the directory of its location.
Step 6
Press the "OK" button in the selection window. Then click "Apply" and "OK" in the "Properties" window.
